TEAGAN Bartolo of Greenvale is singing, dancing and acting her way to success.
The nine-year-old (pictured) has been cast in the Melbourne production of the Broadway musical Annie.
Teagan, one of 24 children cast in the musical, has the role of an orphan called Friday.
She says it was a tough audition process and the end result was one she never expected.
"I was actually screaming and jumping on my bed when I found out," she says.
"I'm thrilled but I'm actually really nervous."
Leading up to the string of performances, Teagan, a grade 4 pupil at St Carlo Borromeo Primary School in Greenvale, rehearses four days a week. She will be in about 30 performances.
Her mother Teresa says Teagan has been a performer since birth.
"She has always danced and sang. We're constantly joking that from the day she was born she was always singing and dancing.
"We're not sure where her talent comes from. I enjoy singing but I'm not a singer myself."
The show opened at the Regent Theatre last Thursday.
