FFV: Hume United overpowers Cairnlea

Hume United sent a message to its FFV state league 3 north-west rivals with a 3-1 win against Cairnlea on Saturday.

Savvas Patikkis netted a double and Burakhan Koca the other goal as United continued its perfect start to the season with two wins from two. In provisional 1 NW, North City Lions played a 0-0 stalemate with Essendon United. In provisional 2, Upfield drew 1-1 with Western Eagles while Northern Roosters lost 2-0 away at Epping City. In provisional 3 NW, Meadow Park Eagles romped to its first win of the season with a 6-2 victory against Bundoora. Adriano Minutoli netted a hat-trick for Meadow Park while Bradley Staines, Evan Kasapis and Daniel Magro were the other scorers.
