A-GRADE

Maribyrnong Park 31.15 (201) d Craigieburn 16.5 (101)

Craigieburn avoided complete obliteration, with 13 second-half goals keeping the margin stable after the Eagles fell to a triple-figure deficit by the long break.

Maribyrnong Park tuned up for finals with a 19-goal first half and 119-18 lead. Luke Livingston led all goalscorers with six for the Lions while Brodie Holland booted five.

Craigieburn's best were Roland Hall and three-goal Jesse Davies, while Lance Whitnall led the Eagles' goalkicking with four.

Keilor 11.12 (78) d West Coburg 8.15 (63)

West Coburg may have only won two matches for the season but still staved off relegation until the final two quarters of the season.

Ahead by three points at the long break, the Burgers kicked just two points in the third quarter as Keilor booted five unanswered goals.

Keilor's Jarrod Garth tuned up for finals with three goals, while Ricky Marcy and Rodney Van Riet were the Blues' best.

West Coburg will play Bgrade next season, to be replaced in Agrade by the B-grade premier.

Doutta Stars 20.20 (140) d Aberfeldie 10.11 (71)

Doutta Stars went into the match still a mathematical chance of relegation but ensured a future in Agrade by breaking the match open with an eight-goal third quarter.

Doutta Stars led 8.4 to 3.5 at quarter-time but Aberfeldie closed to within two goals at the long break.

The Stars then booted eight majors to one in the third term and three goals to two in the final quarter to run out comprehensive 69-point winners.

Kade Karey played just his third match since May to return three goals, while David King led all scorers with six majors.

Jai Audley, Matt Kelly and Elvir Destanovic were the Stars' best, while four-goal Adam El Houli, Conal Moloney and Ben Collins were Aberfeldie's best.

Greenvale 12.10 (82) d Avondale Heights 11.6 (72)

Avondale Heights pushed Greenvale but couldn't close a day-long narrow margin. It was down one point at quarter-time, 12 at the half and seven at the last change.

Matt Smith and Nick Raines were the Jets' best as Denis Bicer kicked three goals and Scott Lucas two.

Strathmore 13.9 (87) lt Oak Park 16.18 (114)

Strathmore led by 20 points at half-time and six at the last change but were overrun by finals-bound Oak Park with six final-quarter goals to one.

Ty Zantuck continued his good end-of-season run as a forward with four goals, while Jordan Doering and Joel Reynolds kicked three each for the Mores.

LADDER: Greenvale 64, Keilor 60, Oak Park 56, Maribyrnong Park 52, Strathmore 40, Craigieburn 24 (82.73per cent), Avondale Heights 24 (82.62), Doutta Stars 16 (68), Aberfeldie 16 (64), West Coburg 8

B-GRADE

Qualifyin g final - Pascoe Vale 14.11 (95) d Westmeadows 3.12 (30)

The Tigers stuck to Pascoe Vale until midway through the second quarter when the elastic finally broke and the Panthers pulled away.

Pascoe Vale started with what appeared to be a wind advantage but Westmeadows' inaccurate kicking (1.5 from first six shots on goal) was in stark contrast to Pascoe Vale's five goals and one behind.

Jarrod Bannister's three first-half goals and a second-quarter double from Fidaa Ahmed put 41 points between the teams at the long break.

Westmeadows gave up the opening goal of the third term within a minute and when Daniel Callegari goaled 23 minutes into the quarter it was 2.9 to 11.7 and the game was well out of reach. Ash Flavell went on to finish with four goals while Jack O'Rourke was the Panthers' best. Callegari kicked two goals and Valentine one for Westmeadows.

Elimination final - Tullamarine 19.13 (127) d Hadfield 8.7 (55)

Tullamarine never looked back after taking an early lead and fresh legs counted for everything as Hadfield's long road from mid-table to fifth spot through the second half of the home-and-away season took its toll. The Demons can now look forward to a showdown with Westmeadows in the first semi-final.

THIS SATURDAY: B-grade second semi-final, Pascoe Vale v Taylors Lakes at Highgate Reserve, Craigieburn. B-grade first semi-final, Westmeadows v Tullamarine at Keilor.

THIS SUNDAY: A-grade major semi-final, Greenvale v Keilor at Windy Hill. A-grade elimination final Oak Park v Maribyrnong Park at Coburg City Oval (ABD Group Stadium).

All games start at 2.15pm.
