NWMCA: Roxburgh Park well on top

17 Jan, 2012 12:26 PM
ROXBURGH Park is well placed to score an outright win after rolling Aberfeldie-St Johns for just 39 in Luscombe Shield at the weekend.

Sent in, Roxburgh Park might have been disappointed with being bowled out for 21 by its hosts at Fairbairn Park.

But Matthew English (5-27) and David Garvin (4-11) roared through Aberfeldie-St Johns in just 19.3 overs.

Roxburgh Park will resume its second innings at 1-51 this weekend, with Harley Short not out on 21.

At Hillside, visitors Gladstone Park battled to 128 all out before Hillside reached 1-53 in reply.

Glenn Spicer top-scored for Gladstone Park with 45.
