ROXBURGH Park has breathed life back into the finals race of Luscombe Shield after completing a comprehensive outright victory against Aberfeldie-St Johns at the weekend.
Timing of a declaration was key for Roxburgh Park.
It had been all out for 121 in its first innings but still led by 82 before taking to the crease a second time.
Harley Short (66) and and Jarryd Garvin (36) kept the run rate ticking over as Roxburgh Park called time on its innings at 6-170 off 34 overs, a lead of 252.
Aberfeldie-St Johns lost 3-36 early but put up some resistance before the team was all out at 7-122.
Gladstone Park (128 and 5-38) could not make enough early inroads against Sydenham-Hillside (8-183) to avoid defeat.
