CRAIGIEBURN Eagles are still to finalise their squad for the men's Big V division two season, with the club in negotiations with a number of players.
While the final playing roster isn't clear yet, the club has had a number of other changes in the off-season.
"With the restructuring of the league, we were approached to go from division 3 to division 2, so we grabbed the chance," club Big V representative Colin Dowling said.
"Going into division two also meant we were given the opportunity to have a youth team as well."
Denis McNamara will again coach the senior side, which will see a few past players return.
"Adem Hasan, who was at the club about five years ago, is returning from Whittlesea, and his younger brother is returning as well," Dowling said.
"One of the players we are in negotiations with is also a former player."
Wayne Bullock, who was assistant coach with the men's side last year, has been named as the youth league coach.
"Wayne has background in the sport and at the club, so he deserves the job," Dowling said.
"He knows the guys and has worked with more of them, making the job easier."
Meanwhile the Eagles women's team has a new coach for the 2010, with former Whittlesea youth coach Darrell Eyre coming to the club. "Daryl has done a fantastic job over the summer with the women and we are really excited about our prospects for the new year," Dowling said.
"He is doing a good job and fitting in really well."
The club will ramp up their preseason with a training camp to be held in Mornington.
