Touch of fun while helping

30 Jun, 2009 05:00 AM
A GROUP of young Hume residents has formed the area's first Rotaract club.

Westmeadows' Amelia Todaro, 21, said the group of about 15 for people aged 18-30 would recruit at least another five or 10.

"It's all about young people coming together to have fun while helping out the community by fund-raising."

The group, called Hume Rotaract will be sponsored by the Rotary Club of Tullamarine and is one of 7000 Rotaract clubs worldwide.

One of the first projects for the Hume Rotaract is to work with Sri Lankan Rotaract Club to provide sanitation facilities. To join: Grant Godino, 0402733064.
