POLICE arrested three men after a 16-year-old girl was shot in the thigh at Dallas about 11.20pm on Wednesday night.

Police said the girl and four males were at a house in Morwell Street when a dispute took place.

One of the men produced a handgun and fired a shot which struck the girl in the thigh.

The bullet also struck another man in the lower leg.

Police were called to the scene and checked the area before moving into the house.

The injured girl was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The injured man, 22, had his wound treated at the scene and did not want further treatment.

Police later arrested three men in Parkville, aged 17, 18, and 24, over the incident.
