THE day is marked off on the calendar and three sets of uniforms and lunchboxes are ready to go.
The excitement is building for identical triplets Karim, Romi and Amir, aged 6, before their first day of school on February 6.
It's the first time the boys will be separated.
"They'll be in separate classrooms, but they know they can play together at lunch time," their mother Heyam Masri says.
"It was a really hard decision to separate them. They rely on each other so much, but it's better to separate them now rather than wait."
Starting school has been a hot topic among the boys since last year.
"They're very excited. They have been talking about it non-stop," Ms Masri said.
"We've had the uniforms since November and they chose their lunchboxes with their names on them."
Karim, Romi and Amir have been known to play pranks in the past and Ms Masri says it might be difficult for some teachers to tell them apart.
"I think it will be difficult to tell them apart at the start, but I think the teachers will get to know them. They're all very different, with different personalities."
While the boys are excited, Ms Masri says it will be a difficult adjustment for her, once the triplets start school.
"Throughout the parent information night I would just tear up and start crying. The first day will be so emotional."
