A 26-year-old man died after a horrific workplace accident in Campbellfield yesterday.
The incident occurred about 2.30pm at a boat manufacturing business when a 150-kilogram piece of machinery fell on the man from an overhead crane.
He sustained fatal head injuries and died in hospital.
Hume CIU detectives will prepare a report for the coroner.
The recent incidents bring Victoria’s workplace toll for the year to 21, with five of those occurring in the past 11 days.
On November 25, a 46-year-old man died after he was crushed by a vehicle at a factory in Westmeadows.
