Free fun name of the game

HUME children have been invited to enjoy the world's biggest playtime during National Playgroup Day on March 24.

This year the Broadmeadows Leisure Centre will come alive, with 400 children expected to attend free play activities between 11am-2pm.

The day will feature balloonists, face-painting, arts and craft activities, singing and dancing and kinder-gym games.

Hume mayor Geoff Porter said the event was a good opportunity for parents to ask council staff about the variety of services available in their area.

Families interested in joining a playgroup can obtain the Hume Playgroup Directory 2010 from the Hume Council website or call 92052200.
